A Must Read to Every Parent of ADHD Child

Dr. Swingle does an excellent job of explaining why close to 70% of diagnosis of ADHD by medical doctors is wrong. This should be a must read for every doctor who ever diagnosis or prescribe medications to treat ADHD and every parent whose child struggles with SYMPTOMS of ADHD. Diagnosis based on symptoms and without proper testing is wrong. No other branch of medicine relays on symptoms without actual testing to diagnose a problem. Yet too often young children are quickly diagnosed and put on a lifelong regiment of stimulant medications without any testing other than a rating form completed by a teacher and or a parent. Regardless of the treatment option one might choose, this is an easy to read, informative book that explains the dangerous of quick assessments based on rating forms and medication fixes that so many MD's are quick to prescribe.
