Mountain Mist Quilt Favorites is a lovely, long awaited quilt book to add to your collection.
As an employee of Mountain Mist and as a quilt maker, it was a pleasure to work with Oxmoor House Publishing to create this book. With more than 150 quilts in our corporate collection, the question has been asked repeatedly when a color book would be available. Now it is! Mountain Mist is known for the beautiful applique floral designs. They devote half the book to applique and the other half are pieced quilt patterns. Will Not Disappoint........

I purchased this book a few months ago. I find myself looking through it often--not being able to choose which pattern I want to start with!! There is a nice selection of pieced and appliqued quilts in varying degrees of difficulty. It is well worth the price and a great addition to any quilter's library.

About the Author
Jeffrey and Linda Russell are the founders and co-directors of Russell Consulting, Inc., headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. For more than 15 years Jeff and Linda have provided consulting and training services in such areas as leadership, strategic thinking and planning, change implementation, employee quality of worklife surveys, organizational development, performance coaching, and performance management. Their diverse list of clients includes Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, social or nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

Jeff has a bachelor or arts degree in humanism and cultural change and a master of arts in industrial relations, both from the University of Wisconsin. He serves as an ad hoc faculty member for the University of Wisconsin, teaching for the Small Business Development Center, the Wisconsin Certified Public Manager Program, and a number of other certification programs with the University of Wisconsin campuses. Jeff is a frequent presenter at local, state, regional, and international conferences.

Linda has a bachelor of arts degree in social work and completed graduate work in rehabilitation counseling. She specializes in designing and implementing quality of worklife surveys and in facilitating team and organizational development interventions.

Jeff and Linda have written three other books, including Managing Change (1998), and publish a journal of tips for leading organizations, Workplace Enhacement Notes.

This book is really good for the person learning to carve. There is so much information to take in. It was written by someone who has been carving for most of his life and also teaching. His instructions are very clear and concise and easy to understand. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in carving.

Exceeded expectations!

Wow! This book is amazing and it truly is a joy to read. The book has incredibly clear instructions and does not assume the reader has previous knowledge of spoons or woodworking. I found the instructions very helpful and clear. In fact, I am currently making my first spoon and watching it emerge from the wood is exciting and inspiring.

I only wish I could sit down with the author but this book is the next best thing!
